Contract Document System v1.3.1 Upgrade
February 28, 2008 — Recent changes have been made to Contract Documents of which the main changes are as follows:

1. New State Certification - Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act (820 ILCS 265) - added concerning Contractors and Professional Services Consultants certifying and submitting to the University a written program that meets or exceeds the requirements of the ACT prior to performing work on the Project.

2. New State Certification – Disclosure of business in Iran Act (30 ILCS 500/50-36) - added concerning Contractors and Professional Services Consultants certifying that it has complied with the disclosure requirements of the ACT.

FCPWeb v3.5 Upgrade
February 10, 2008 — On Friday, February 15, 2008, FCPWeb will be upgraded to version 3.5 which focuses primarily on reporting modifications and small feature enhancements. Application end-users will note changes as well as additions to Standard and Customized reports.

The system will be taken offline at 5PM and will be unavailable until 8PM.

FCPWeb Server Migration
December 19, 2007 — The University Office of Capital Programs and Real Estate Services (UOCP&RES) & Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) will be upgrading the server that hosts FCPWeb. The official cut-over date to the new server will be January 18, 2008. The cut-over process requires taking the current server offline, moving files to the new server and configuring the new server. You will need to confirm your EnterpriseID and password as part of the server migration.

Holiday Support Schedule
December 14, 2007 — The University of Illinois will be closed December 24 - 26, 2007, and January 1, 2008. The University will have reduced service days December 27, 28 and 31, 2007. Should you need to file a support request during the reduced service days, the AITS Help Desk will be available to take your call.

Focus on Facilities
October 29, 2007 — The University Office of Capital Programs and Real Estate Services invites you to read the debut issue of its training and staff development newsletter, Focus on Facilities. This publication will appear irregularly, to let you know what training opportunities are available and those that are upcoming.

If you've found a training session you'd like to attend, simply create a brief profile and sign up for the course from our website. You can always view the most current course offerings there.

New Update Course - Using PRZM for Construction
October 2, 2007 — If you've taken the "Using PRZM" classroom training but would like to know what changes have been made to the application since the early 2007 update to the University's contract documents, this new course is for you.

You can learn about the changes to PRZM which have been made over the past few months right from the comfort of your desk, through a simple web-based meeting. This two-hour update course will cover such topics as:

  • Schedule of Values Approval for Contractor with Assigned Subcontractors
  • Schedule or Work Completed for Contractor With Assigned Subcontractors
  • RFP Response Approval for Contractor with Assigned Subcontractors
  • ASI Response for all Contractors
  • Field Directives

REMINDER: This course is designed for people who have taken the all-day instructor-led training but wish to update their knowledge and skills. It is not for individuals who have never attended hands-on PRZM training or for those who have only passing knowledge of the application.

Training and Development
August 27, 2007 — Earlier this year, UOCP&RES debuted a Training and Development section of the website, for anyone involved in capital projects. You can review what courses are available and register (or cancel your registration) right from the website. To navigate, drop down the Information menu and select "Training and Development". Please note that you will need to create a brief profile before you can register for courses.
